If you looking for a great walk, give this a try. If you head towards downtown to the east, the trial will end and loop back around to bring you back. From our location is about a 3 mile walk from start to finish.

Nice walking and biking path along the Kessler Park neighborhood nearby. There are a couple tennis courts and a golf course nearby.

This is our favorite place to walk. Travel west to the Kessler Steps, Tennis Courts, and beautiful views of downtown from Stevens Golf Course. Travel East to a trail (turn left at the giant sinkhole...can't miss it) that will take you to the spillway for breathtaking views of Dallas.

This paved trail is easily accessible from the guest house. It can be found on the map included here. To access it, turn right on Shady Lane coming out of our driveway. Walk to the corner and turn left on Eastus. Follow Eastus all the way down the hill and you’ll see the trail across the street. Follow it in either direction, but know that it’s not yet looped, so you’ll have to turn around to get home.

Coombs Creek Trail is a multiuse hard surface trail matching along Kessler Parkway between Stevens Park Golf Course and Kessler Parkway Park. The 1.5-mile hike and bike path provides access to the Trinity River levee, as well as the Oak Cliff neighborhood. It is hoped that it will eventually link up with the Trinity Skyline Trail. Interesting tidbit: there are rumors the trail is “haunted”.
