Lovely lake and beautiful forest trails. New children's playground. Baseball diamond, basketball court. A fantastic native plant garden. People swim and boat on Buck Lake. It is known for the potential for getting swimmer's itch, so heed the advise to rinse and towel off asap.

Hansville Greenway is a combination of Kitsap County property and trail easements making a rough square around the community of Hansville. There are miles of hiking opportunities in this network, but the hike from Buck Lake to Lower Hawk's Pond Overlook with the detour to Quiet Place is about 2.5 miles. The Hansville Greenway encompasses not only the trails around Buck Lake and Upper and Lower Hawk's Pond, but community trails that link the park to Point No Point Park (4.2 miles from Quiet Place), Norwegian Point Park, even a 1.2 mile detour to Hood Canal on the Sid Knutson Trail. Take a whole day and make it a long loop.

A great community-built trail system that links three outstanding parks, all with jaw-dropping views: Point No Point, Norwegian Point and Buck Lake. Multiple trailheads all about 10 miles north (Miller Bay Rd becomes Hansville Rd when it crosses Bond Rd).
