This is in Petaluma, which is a great burgeoning little town an hour outside of the city. It’s run by two women who are really fun: Their first venture into the oyster world was a traveling oyster bar called The Oyster Girls. They have ferocious shucking skills. If I was wanting to go somewhere really cool around here, this is where I’d go. Friday nights are pretty hoppin’. During the week they have a happy hour. These women are wine-savvy, as well as knowing everything there is to know about oysters.

I love the fresh oysters and cava! Get the seat by the window and check out the newly restored Hotel Petaluma lobby - grab a hot cider and sit by the fire in the fall and winter.

This is one of the best hidden gems in Sonoma County. It has fresh oysters, all fresh local seafood dishes and an amazing happy hour a NYC city vibe and some of the best cocktails West of NYC.

The Pearl of Petaluma, The Shuckery is the culinary brain child of Oyster Girl owners, and entrepreneurial sisters, Jazmine and Aluxa Lalicker. This new seafood inspired establishment, housed in the recently restored Petaluma Hotel, proudly serves the most exquisite oysters from pristine waters all over North America and features chef prepared cuisine, elegant wines, craft beers, comfortable ambiance & outstanding hospitality. This little raw bar stands has already won the hearts of many using the bounty of Northern California. Open at 5 p.m. for dinner, 6 days a week. Closed Tuesdays.

Whilst we go for the oysters and the special catch of the day in butter and capers/fish for 2, I need to let you know that the wine list is a list of unusual and unique treats, and the desserts are hella good! Dining outside in the Hotel Courtyard is so pretty.
