Boulders beach is a quaint, sheltered beach with fascinating rock formations all around. It also serves as an entry point for the penguin colony. If you're going there on a weekend, be sure to get there early to find a good spot.
Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park and is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa…
My favorite beach, R40 to get in, its secluded, sheltered from the waves and has boulders all over to climb. There is also a penguin nature reserve next to it that is worth seeing.
Delicious food with beautiful views. Lovely for sundowners . Wonderful beach for swimming! Can be crowded in season
Boulders Beach is famous for its penguins, but it's beautiful in its own right. What gives Cape Town such a unique variety of beaches is the fact it marks the point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. A beach on the western Cape is something entirely different to one on the eastern side. You…

Penguin viewing, people watching, swimming, breathtakingly scenic, sheltered when the SE wind is blowing

Must Do place: Swim with the penguins. Best time is when the water has low tide.
I prefer to go to the beach rather than the visitor centre so you drive past the first sign and take the road to Boulders Beach by the golf course. There is still an entrance fee but it is a great beach to swim and enjoy - try and time it for low tide as there isn't much space on the sand at high…

“For the best scones, made in a wood-burning oven and home-made jams. A lovely succulent nursery too. The Scone Shack is off the grid on Lalaphanzi Farm, you have to go and meet Carl and Cara and the piglets, chickens, ducks and........much more.”

“Cafe Nood is just downstairs. It is open from 7am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. It closes at 12.30 on Saturday and is closed all day on Sunday. I regularly eat here. The breakfasts and lunches are healthy and reasonable. There are lots of delicious cakes and desserts (not so healthy!) and they also do takeaways. Extremely convenient ”
