Let me introduce you to one of Gainesville’s hidden gems! Remedy distillery is a fantastic little place that more people need to know about. If you are even reading this, your answer is yes, yes you should go and check this place out. It’s very nicely appointed, incredibly clean, has a very nice bar and lounge area inside, along with a great outdoor area with fire pits, outdoor lighting and a TV to play the game or something while you relax. Some outdoor games too. Ralph and Keith are down to earth guys that will happily take their time to chat with you, share their story and talk about their love, their distillery and the Bourbon making craft. They make several, small batch Bourbons that are all very drinkable, nice sipping Bourbons. They even have a cocktail selection featuring their Bourbons that’s probably 9-12 different cocktails which are all really nice! I recommend Grandmas Secret Cider, Apple Cider and their Remedy Red cinnamon Bourbon. This is an excellent little hang out on a fall evening like we just enjoyed. Grab some food from the BBQ joint next door or BYOF and relax outside by the fire pit, sampling their different drinks and cocktails. They give a free tasting of each of their Bourbons and you won’t regret coming to Remedy. Once you’ve been here, you’ll definitely want to come back. A local hidden gem to be sure.
