Nice long beach walk with gentle waves for swimming, too. You can walk all the way to Rio del Mar, under the pier that goes to the old cement ship. Whale fossils can be seen on minus tides in winter.

Very pretty area and beach. Without a pass it will cost $10 to park there like other state parks in California.

Great family beach featuring picnic areas, swimming, fishing and equipment available for rental. Situated near a forest of Monterey pine and coastal live oak - nice for hiking. It also has a camping area on a bluff overlooking northern Monterey Bay.
