The plaza is a lovely place to sit and 'people watch'. Often there are musicians who just enjoy a moment to make music. The "High Priestess of Soul" was born and grew up in Tryon.

Beautiful statue of this great singer. civil rights activist, and great human . Nice side trip, less than thirty minutes. Lots of dining and a nice community. Take a photo with Nina on the keys. super cool
