Mate is a local gem, old school bakery - it doesn't look posh or stylish but we love their stuff. Try burek with meat or krafne (doughnuts) with chocolate. You will not be disappointed, especially when you're a bit drunk. Avoid pizza, it's too greasy for my taste. Usually working 24/7

The most famous donuts in Split, for sure. They also have pizza, burek... They work long hours, so it is a perfect guilty pleasure after a night out or a walk through town.
