Petaling Street, the centre of Kuala Lumpur's original Chinatown, maintains much of its traditional atmosphere, particularly at night when vendors fan out their merchandise along the street.

“In the fast paced KL city, Bukit Bintang is perhaps the most lively place and the most happening place..be it as a street food paradise, shoppers paradise, art on the streets or the bunch of performers..the Buskers..you can find them all at one place, on the streets of Bukit Bintang. Yes, it has something for everyone, and that's why it attracts locals as well as foreigners with equal enthusiasm. Just a casual walk on the streets, and you won't find a difference between a weekday or weekend! Of the many attractions of Jalan Bukit Bintang, there are these bunch of buskers or the street performers who have literally written their names on these streets, with their entertaining performance. There is not a day, when you won't find them on Bukit Bintang street. Over the weekends & during public holidays they are simply 'the magnets' and viewers don't mind joining them to match their voice & feet...and that appears a great platform where east meets the west. Most of the time, you can find the familiar faces of the performers and new faces too at times, who make a surprise & lively appearance. These bunch of performers are the quiet ones and they go about their job very professionally. Hardly they demand money from the viewers, they are just happy with whatever they receive in the form of gratuities. Most important, they really enjoy performing with all genuineness and that's what pulls people to make repeat visits. Without them, Bukit Bintang street is incomplete. As much as people relish the street foods in the adjacent 'Jalan Alor', there is nothing like a combination of great food with great music and performance. This is one of the best combination on the streets of Bukit Bintang and you should never miss the opportunity. The only area where you may struggle here, is the traffic jam. Recently opened MRT station is a big respite and it provides great service till past mid-night.”

“HISTORICAL BUILDING/ARCHITECHTURE: is a late-nineteenth century building located along Jalan Raja in front of the Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) and the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building originally housed the offices of the British colonial administration, and was known simply as Government Offices in its early years. In 1974 it was renamed after Sultan Abdul Samad, the reigning sultan of Selangor at the time when construction began.”
