Feeling adventurous? Due to construction through 2023/2024, Glacier Point Road is closed. This means that the only way to the top is to hike! You may want to consider taking this opportunity to enjoy the Glacier Point view undisturbed. The Four Mile Trail is a strenuous hike that takes you from the valley floor to Glacier point. The hike is 9.6 mi (15.5 km) round trip with a 3,200 foot elevation gain. The trail follows an old toll trail that was established in 1872. Pretty Cool!

Drive out Glacier Point Road from the Yosemite Cabin. We recommend stopping at Taft Point for the 1-mile, low-angle hike out to the most stunning views of El Capitan and other special features in the Valley. Not many tourists do this!

Another spectacular view of Yosemite. I highly recommend Glacier Point.
