A moderately challenging hike through old growth redwoods up to a rewarding lookout with views of the Monterey Bay on one side and the Santa Cruz Mountain ridges and valleys on the other. A rare Santa Cruz sandhills habitat, with ponderosa pines, gnarled manzanita and bush lupine.
