This is a great place for a day at the beach! With 7 acres and over 700 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline, it’s a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, a volleyball game, or taking in the panoramic view of Lake Michigan on the wooden deck on top of the dunes. In June 2021, Fodor’s Travel named this beach in their article “Best Beaches In The U.S. That Are Nowhere Near the Ocean”. There are also picnic tables, a picnic shelter, a playground, grills, and restrooms. Dogs are not allowed from May 1 to September 30. Open 7am – 10pm from March 1 to October 15, and 7am – 8pm from October 16 to February 28. There is a motor vehicle parking fee from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
