This little building is plunked right next to the channel. It has all kinds of shipping exhibits - and hey, it's free.

If you wish to learn more about Lake Superior and the shipping history on the lake, this is a perfect stop. Located right next to the historic lift bridge in Canal Park, you will find this a very interesting place.

Must see! Free! We live here and we go almost every time we’re in canal park. Has the information on when the ships come in, really neat exhibits, pieces and parts from ships, state rooms, and a great gift shop! After you’re done touring the maritime museum, walk over the lift bridge and look down thorugh the grates. So cool!

Free museum with excellent exhibits, movies and views of the canal that announces information on every large ship that comes through next to the building. On the same walk as you would take to the Canal Park Lighthouse and the Lift Bridge. Can't recommend it enough.
