Its a must see, get the water ferry from Ciovo and travel to split, this takes around 50 minutes, once there enjoy a day in Split with such epic culture and fabulous restaurants.

Diocletian's Palace is one of the best preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world with the citizens of Split still living inside. DAYS OF DIOCLETIAN take Split back to the time when famous Roman emperor Diocletian walked the city. Roman legions align on the city streets and squares, the emperor Diocletian in carriage followed by the legions passes from the Promenade to the Peristyle and greets the gathered crowd. The sounds of fanfare, drums and Roman music will be heard throughout the city. Delicacies from the Roman period are offered along with rich music and dance program. Split city is one of the best-preserved monuments of the Roman Empire, with the Old Town holding an important part of history in every building and street, especially Diocletian’s Palace which is an iconic piece of Roman History, built in 305 AD, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The many people of Split come together each year to celebrate The Days of Diocletian and to bring the Roman history of Split alive. With the Emperor’s speech and Empress Prisca’s order, legions lineup and gladiators start to fight just like they would have in 305 AD. Like in real Roman matches, the large audience will be able to watch gladiators fight and see whether the Emperor commands them to live or die. The spirit of Diocletian continues to be present throughout the tourist season. From May to September, every day at noon, the Peristyle holds the changing of the guards and the Emperor welcomes gathered tourists expressing them welcome in Latin.
