A contrast to the old and short buildings in the city. It is a nice area to explore, with some great food options.

Barcode has become a must visit for Oslo's own inhabitants, frequent as well as first-time visitors in Oslo. Bjørvika, has been under development for some years. Just by Jernbanetorget it's now all finally coming together with it's famous post-modern architecture, beach, restaurants, and not to mention the Norwegian Opera house. The Much museum has been established here, surrounded by fancy restaurants as well as street food wagons. There is also a lot of cool activities, such as saunas (badstue in Norwegian), concert spaces such as "Salt" as well as rentals for water activities. A must visit that shows how diverse Oslo can be, all in one walkable area.

A nice place of buildings that look like a bar code on your receipts. The area is essentially a financial district thats provides upscale restaurants and coffee shops. Its located at Dronning Eufemias Gate which is right next to the Oslo Opera.
