the local record shop and label 12 Tónar has been named the number two record store to visit before you die by BuzzFeed. The site famous for its viral listicles placed the iconic Skólavörðurstígur store at second place for its importance with our most famous musical exports. “While it might not be impressive in size, it is incredibly influential and serves as a meeting place for musicians like Björk and Sigur Rós,” the short explanatory blurb states.
