A bar within a historic abbey! Very beautiful place close to Crickhowell and Abergavenny.
Llanthony Priory (Welsh: Priordy Llanddewi Nant Hodni) is a partly ruined former Augustinian priory in the secluded Vale of Ewyas, a steep sided once glaciated valley within the Black Mountains area of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Monmouthshire, south east Wales. It lies seven miles…
One of our favourite walks. Drive 1 hour to Longtown. Walk over Offa's Dyke into Wales. Stunning views in Black Mountains national park. Lunch in the gardens of Llanthony Priory, then walk back over the ridge. For fit hill walkers with the right kit only.
The route to Lanthony Priory (either by car or bike) is very scenic and once you get there it is a truly tranquil place wander around. There's a small cafe/pub there too for refreshments.
Llanthony is a beautiful little village, with old ruins and a church. Many lovely walks around the area
