There are three grocery stores right at the corners of Blanco and Hwy 68 (also called South Main St) in Salinas. Star Market is a smaller market with some really good items, but tends toward the pricier side. Nob Hill is an all time favorite, but a much larger store. the other one is a Safeway on the way to Monterey, just off of Canyon Del Rey Blvd. Ask me about it if you want directions. There is a Whole Foods in Monterey at the Del Monte Shopping Center, and a Trader Joe's in downtown Monterey, Quick Food pick uos: there is also very new, small deli & market on the corner of Hwy 68 & and Cooral de Tierrra Rd, run by Bruno's Market in Carmel.
