A beautiful state park with white sand beaches. Great for a day trip to see another beach and experience something a little different. There is a small fee to enter the park and also for parking.

It’ll take you an hour to get there, and there is a fee to get in, but it is the southernmost tip of the county and very beautiful. An umbrella and chair will allow you to hang out in comfort with sun protection.

It's always a good day to explore Fort Desota. It is about $5 cash to enter the fort and there is a multitude of activities to be had here. You can enjoy the beach, you can explore the old fort, you can ferry to egmont key or rent some bikes and explore the few miles of bike path.

A stunning natural beach without the crowds. Rascally raccoons will try to invite themselves to your picnic!
