I put Abbot square here as a leap off point. Once yup find Abbot Square you can enter Pacific Drive where there are many shops for fun shopping, anything from fashion, skate shops, local artist shops, shoes, food, street music, bars, late night clubs, etc. This is downtown Santa Cruz which is a hop and skip from the Boardwalk.

Dog Friendly in a huge courtyard where you can have drinks eat from many food courts, dance, listen to bands at night , fabulous food court with great food, vegetarian, coffee, Italian, seafood, wine bar and full bar and music out on the patio on weekend, attached to MAH the Santa Cruz Museum of History who created it as a local food scene- Locals love it and are there in droves

Abbot square market is a great combination of kiosks with different food and beverage options. There is a craft cocktail bar and a seperate beer and wine bar. In addition there are several eateries with different food options. The outdoor courtyard is a nice place to enjoy a meal or have a few drinks.
