This is a cute and quaint little cinema which holds up to100 people. It is just as it was many years ago with its own history. The Palace put on a contemporary range of films and even have silent movies e.g. Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin with a brilliant pianist which adds to the atmosphere. We are lucky to have it in Harbour St and Broadstairs and the staff and treats available are fabulous too. Thank you for keeping it so lovely.

We love the Palace Cinema! From the outside you may wonder how the building can fit a cinema inside, but inside you discover a cosy foyer with popcorn, sweets and cold drinks as well as freshly brewed coffee. Step into the auditorium and you’ll find 111 comfortable seats (23 on the balcony, 88 in the stalls), plus the latest digital sound and projection technology, and a large screen that stretches the width of the building. The cinema has wheelchair and pram access, too. The Palace is different from the multiplex experience. It brings something personal to your evening out. It may have only one screen, but that doesn’t prevent it from showing a variety of the latest films, many unlikely to be showing anywhere else in Thanet. By selecting these great films – award-winners, audience favourites, critics’ choices – the Palace aims to be your ticket to the most entertaining and thought-provoking films on offer.
