Great place for an afternoon trip to learn about local history. A self-guided audio tour is available for purchase in the park office. You can listen to the CD in your car and drive to the points of interest. We love to bring our dogs here to walk. You can find many walking/hiking trails. You can also climb the stairs to the top of the Wilder Monument.

Visit a well preserved Civil War site. There were 35,000 casualties (2nd costliest battle of the Civil War behind only Gettysburg) on this battlefield.
