Home of King Ludwing II, who build Neu-Schwanstein (Disney castle). He stayed most time of is live at Linderhof. Visit the grotto and other buildings in the parc. Highly recommended.

The third of King Ludwig's Castles: If you start early you can do this in one day together with Schloss Neuschwanstein as Ettal is close to Fuessen.
