“Belgrade has a few farmers' markets (pijaca). Kaleniceva pijaca is perhaps the best organized and with a good selection of local produce (fruits, vegetables, meats, fish). Fridays & Saturdays are the days to go (on Mondays the choice can be quite limited). The market is very colourful and stocked with fresh sasonal fruits & vegetables. There are also stalls with home made cookies, dry fruits and nuts, honey, herbs, etc. There is a separate section for dairy (local cheeses, kajmak), eggs and meat (both fresh and smoked). The market also has a small section/store with organic produce.”
