"The heart of the Port Isabel experience! A stroll to the top of the 70- foot tower offers a 16-mile view. The lighthouse was constructed in 1852 as a working beacon for vessels entering the Brazos Santiago Pass. Decommissioned in 1905, the lighthouse is now a primary tourist attraction.
Beautiful light house - $5 allows you to climb all the way to the top for some great views!
Checkout the sights before crossing the causeway over to South Padre Island. Try out the seafood at Pirate's Landing or Pelican Station. The Lost Galleon no longer exists, but they served the best all you could eat flounder and shrimp. Checkout some of the novelty shops as well and walk the pier at Pirate's Landing or do some fishing off the pier.
