The West Seattle Junction (the core of which is along California Ave. between Genessee & Edmunds St.) is the 'downtown' of West Seattle, with tons of restaurants, boutiques, and shopping. Some on Sundays for the weekly Farmer's Market which sets up down the middle of California Ave.!)

West Seattle hosts a Farmers Market on Sundays from 10-2. You can buy local fruits, vegetables, and flowers! On the other days or evenings, you can enjoy restaurants and shops. If you love pie, try Ala Mode. The marion berry slice is phenomenal!

A wide variety of shops and restaurants in this historic shopping district that covers 4+ blocks around California and Alaska. You will find everything from an Ace hardware to half price books to Indian food.

Don't actually go to the West Seattle Junction Association. However, DO go to the WEST SEATTLE SUMMER FEST (hosted by the association). July 14-16, cost is free, lots of live entertainment and merriment in the streets! Kids activities, music, food trucks, shopping, fun fun fun!
