The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee features the famous jumping frog competition, and takes place over 4 days on the third weekend in May. It's the longest running county fair in California, and great for good old fashion county fair fun.

This is a good old fashioned county fair and includes a live stock auction, demolition derby, cotton candy and the rides that go with it.

The Jubilee - held each year in May is a MUST experience. Its county fair, rodeo, jumping frog contest (no kidding!), and fireworks in the eve ning. When my youngest Joe was only 4-5 years old, he participated in the jumping frog contest (he borrowed one from the tub of water) and had a ball... Great Family Fun! Make sure you read or listen to Mark Twain's book - " The Celebrated Jumping Frogs of Calaveras County" to really appreciate the history and continued community support.

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee features the famous jumping frog competition, inspired by Mark Twain's story: The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras, and takes place over 4 days on the third weekend in May. It is also the longest running county fair in California.
