One of our favorite hiking trails, and good for bikes too. If you're feeling up to it, hike from ranger station to the beach and back. About 10 miles round trip.

The visitor center building has a nice small museum about the local fauna and flora, a great option for when it's too cold or rainy. This is the starting place to many the hiking trails of this beautiful area! Also, note then damage of the Woodward fire right next to the visitor center, going all the way to Limantour road up the mountain. This forest had never burned since people started coming to this area.

Another great place to hike and see the famous fence separated by the 1906 earthquake. Trailheads from parking lot lead to the sea. Pick up sandwiches in Point Reyes at the red barn, delicious!
