BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! puts on free concerts (and paid concerts) in the summer, check out their schedule by searching online to see great shows outdoors!
Beautiful garden with year-round interest. Late April has the famous cherry blossom festival (Sakura Festival), the rose garden peaks in July/August, the Japanese pond is gorgeous year-round. There is an indoor desert exhibit for wintertime months.

These gardens are best accessible via car. There is a cover fee but it is a beautiful intimate garden. Nice if you are driving through or going to the Bronx for other activities.

Check out BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn for free concerts in Prospect Park bandshell. They host a few each summer, usually very good artists! Get there early to lineup, they will check your bag for contraband before admitting you. Food and drinks available to purchase. Super fun experience everytime.
