The Second Saturday ArtWalk
On the second Saturday of every month, local galleries in St Peterburg stay open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There's a lot of local art, music and snacks at some galleries, free parking, and a free trolley that will shuttle you to the further parts if wanted. https://stpeteartsalliance.org/artwalk/

Gasparilla - Two Weekend Parades
Gasparilla is our Pirate Festival parade. There are two parades every year. The first one is target towards the kids. The second one kids are strongly discouraged from attending. Usually held at the end of January. Don't miss out, it's a lot of fun.

Kayaking Weedon Island
If you like kayaking, there's a beautiful trail through the mangroves of Weedon Island. It's about 3 hours of paddling, some of it in open water. This needs to be timed right. You'll need a high-tide, and not much wind for the open portion back, but it's one of the best kayak trails to explore. Kayak rentals are offered by Sweetwater Kayaks right at Weedon Island.

Theme Parks
Into theme parks? Busch Gardens is about 45 minutes away. Disney is about an hour and a half to two hours away. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo has a few small rides for little children, and only about half an hour away.
