The red lion inn have a great menu for evening meals. They also have a nice bar area for drinks and lunch.

The Red Lion, Penderyn, Aberdare, CF44 9JR (01685 811914) overlooks the Brecon Beacons National Park, and is very near the Ystradfellte Waterfalls and the Phoenix Zipwire. This is a cosy, family run pub with log fires, serving seasonal Welsh produce and traditional real ales.

Located 5 Miles from Cottage CF44 9JR. Beautiful location, Family run traditional 12th Century drovers inn perched high on a hill with beautiful views. Flagstone floors, log fires and traditional real ale. Beautiful food a personal favorite of ours. Dog friendly. Outside dining with fire Pizza Oven. 01685 811914, booking recommended.

Ancient pub in small village serving awesome food. It is necessary to book in advance. Good walking territory near waterfalls.
