Similar to Ellis Island in New York we have a small Emigration Museum in Hamburg as a lot of Germans came through Hamburg on their way to the US in the late 19th century. Well worth a visit and easy to reach with the S-Bahn.

Direkt an der S-Bahn-Station Veddel befindet sich das Auswanderermuseum mit vielen interressanten Informationen. Außerdem eine sehr nette Gastronomie für kleine Snacks oder einen Kaffee.
