Mickies is a local favorite for breakfast, which is served at communal tables. The lines are often long but worth the wait! A few things to note: They are closed on Mondays, they close at 2:30pm, and they are cash-only!

Mickie on Monroe Street, just in the shadow of Camp Randall stadium, is a favorite for students. My girls had breakfast there every Tuesday morning for the year they lived nearby. Portions are huge, the price is right, and it certainly has the feel of a '50s diner, with the original sign boards with 50s prices on the walls.

Kitty corner to Camp Randall Stadium, this place has been around longer than even the oldest tenured professors. Get there early on the weekends, this is everyone's favorite breakfast spot! We recommend splitting a hash as well as a milkshake; both are a meal to be reckoned with!
