The best sushi this side of Tokyo! If you’ve seen the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi, the head sushi chef is one of Jiro’s apprentices featured in the movie. This is a place to experience the real art of sushi. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch them work and order the full chef’s choice dinner.

This is the BEST (and probably most expensive) sushi spot in the city, but houses the skills and influence of Shiro Kashiba, an apprentice of the legendary Jiro Ono. You need a reservation for a table, but upon opening the host will take names for a sushi bar waitlist which is honestly the best since you get to interact with the chefs behind the counter.

Our favourite restaurant in Seattle, but we love sushi. If you want to splurge, get the Chef's choice: Omakase. Reservations recommended. It has a great location at the north end of Pike Place Market.

Quite pricey, but it is home to the second best sushi I've had the privilege of having, beat out only by sushi in Japan. If you are a fan of raw fish, this place is a must.
