Edna St. Vincent Millay was a major figure in 20th-century American literature and poetry. Visit Steepletop to learn more about her, see the gardens, walk the Poetry Trail created by the Friends of the Millay Society, and visit the gallery in the new Visitors Center. www.millay.org/

Walk the Poetry Trail, half a mile long through the mossy forest, lined with excerpts from Edna St. Vincent Millay's nature poems. It's level even though at mountain top. The Edna St. Vincent Millay Museum is there too, but a little pricey. Hike up at nearby Harvey Mountain as well.

Austerlitz was the home of famed poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay. You can drive by her home on East Hill Road.
