The Pacific Crest Trail, officially designated as the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail is a long-distance hiking and equestrian trail closely aligned with the highest portion of the Cascade and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges, which lie 100 to 150 miles east of the U.S. Pacific coast.
Great spot for a longer hike for the dog. We recommend checking out our local trail guide on the TV stand or check the alltrails.com website for different elevation and length of dog friendly trails in the area
The Pacific Crest Trail crosses Hwy 4 at the summit in Alpine County, about 30 miles east of Arnold. This trail runs from the Mexico border to the Canadian border.
There are several different access points to the Pacific Crest Trail within a 30 minute drive of the cabin.
