This tour and tasting is worth the trip. The fieldstone winery, an 1885 National Register landmark was lavishly restored by the Nickel family, who own the property, dug its famous wine caves and planted its lovely gardens. The tour takes it all in, but the wines themselves are the real draw.

Far Niente is famous for its cabs, which are widely available in excellent restaurants. The tasting experience is elegant and tasty, albeit pricey. Reservations are encouraged.
