Just off of Marina Village Parkway, and a short drive from anywhere in Alameda, Shoreline Park lies along the waters of the Lake Merritt Channel, a scenic estuary which provides lovely views for visitors. At Shoreline Park, guests can take a leisurely stroll or an energizing jog along the Bay Trail, where they will find great views of the water, Alameda, and the city of Oakland on the opposite shore. These trails are also open for bicyclists to use, and are well paved and frequented by solo walkers, couples, families, tourists, and locals. Enjoy the Lakeside Cafe or the golf course, rent a kayak or a windsurfer, stroll around the lake or alongside the bay. July will bring 100's of white Pelicans - other times of year, Canadian geese, Avocets can be seen, 1000's of seagulls. Ground squirrels are everywhere and occasionally a great blue heron can be seen hunting them along with the fish in the bay

Paddle boats, sail boats, picnics, windsurfing, kites, Wildlife habitats, hiking, jogging and biking. They also have a cafe for breakfast or lunch. 750-acre wildlife and recreation area in a beautiful setting by San Francisco Bay in Mountain View.

Great place to take a leisurely walk along the shoreline and check out the estuary side of Alameda with views of Oakland and the Port.
