With crystal clear waters and a gentle slope into the sea, Maghera is a great place to relax on a nice sunny day. The caves are fun to explore and offer some mystery for the mildly adventurous. As always, remember to be careful of the tide and watch your head.

Beautiful beach with dramatic sleaveatooey mountain looming over. Sea caves are accessible at low tide however ****must time the tides correctly*** danger of being caught in the dangerous currents if you try and approach the caves as the tide is coming in. Always be aware of where the tide is when you are on this beach. DO NOT SWIM HERE.

Embrace nature while exploring the beach and caves. Please note: check tidal times as caves can only be explored when tide is out and you do not want to be in caves when tide is coming back in. It comes in fast. Also tempting for a dip but beware there are dangerous rip tides!
