- Nice view of the lake and urban landscape. - On Sat and Sun afternoon it's lively with drummers, dancers, slackline walker, acrobatics, etc.

The Pergola at Lake Merritt almost always has something going on. If not a workout class, then salsa dancing, drumming, local fairs and more. It is quite busy during the Summer months. Just a great place to set and get a wonderful view of the Lake, or take a jog by for a morning or evening run. If you want to sit for awhile and people watch or just chill, make it a stop!
