Welcome center is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The centers are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

The welcome center is located right on Hwy 59 and will be on your right as you enter Gulf Shores, so it's an easy right turn in and out. Recommended, especially if you have not been to Gulf Shores before. In fact Tripadvisor has it as the number 1 recommended thing to do in Gulf Shores. They have all kinds of information on things to do in the area, staff to answer questions and coupons for some things.
