Our favorite hike on the island, about 1.6 miles and 1,000 feet of elevation gain to a spectacular viewpoint. You can go a couple miles further but there isn't much to see so we recommend turning around at the viewpoint for a 3.2 mile trip.

Amazing views of the San Juan Islands and beyond to Canada after a mile and a quarter hike (mostly uphill.) Best view from the eastern rim of the San Juan Islands.

Entrance to the Baker Preserve Trail is walking distance from our island rental. A steep climb takes you to an unbelievable viewing spot with views of Vancouver Island South.
