Construido en 1663 fue el primer monasterio del estado, tiene pinturas originales del siglo XVII Y XVIII, en su atrio suelen estar artistas y músicos urbanos y también es el punto de encuentro para la salida de las famosas callejoneadas de Guanajuato.
