The first shots of the American Revolution were fired within a few miles of Hummingbird Cottage, and the Minute Man National Park preserves those times in exhibits, stories, and reenactments throughout the year.
History -- nearby museum where you can learn about the minutemen and how they got their name, & see the real location of Battle of Bunker Hill. I believe they have tour guides and you can look around on your own.
You can visit the bridge in 15 minutes if you just want to see it. Park, brief walk, photo ops. This is where America began.
