Established in 1896, the Geelong Gallery is one of Australia’s leading and oldest regional art galleries. Since its establishment, the gallery has amassed a magnificent collection of 19th to 21st century Australian and European paintings and decorative arts, including 18th and 19th century English porcelain, British art pottery, colonial Australian silver, as well as contemporary Australian paintings, prints, sculpture and ceramics. Geelong Art Gallery is a major regional gallery with a collection of over 4,000 pieces, including colonial Australian silver and early images of the Geelong region, as well as contemporary Australian paintings, prints, sculpture and ceramics.
