Ben A'an is our nearest peak and is a very popular walk. A great place to watch the sun set over Loch Katrine. The views from the top are spectacular. It does however, get extremely busy on a fine day so if you plan to climb the hill, we recommend going early or at the end of the day, or travelling by bike. The car park at the foot of the hill is generally full before 9am. There is additional parking nearby at the Ben Venue car park but it too fills up quickly.

A great hill climb to get stunning views of loch Katrine. note that on a nice day the carpark gets very busy so I would recommend doing this early morning to get the best chance of a spot and have the hill less busy. Take a picnic or just a short drive from here is a nice spot for food called venechar lochside. It's not huge but it's located right on the loch best call to book a table to avoid disappointment.

Ben A'an is one of the most popular amongst Scotland's smaller hills. A recently-upgraded path easily leads walkers from a car park on the A821, on the banks of pretty Loch Achray. Although a little steep in places, the walk of around 4km might be short but it offers a surprisingly big experience. For a small hill you’ll enjoy many of the ingredients of a mountain hike, such as atmospheric forest, open moorlands, views of crags and a superb vista of the surrounding landscape at the top. Return on the same path.
