Norman F. Kruse Park offers approximately one mile of beautiful Lake Michigan Beach with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the surrounding dunes. The city has allocated a section of the northern beach for leashed dogs and their owners to enjoy. There are accessible ramps and boardwalks to the beach area and into the dunes. The public beach offers a rescue board with water safety/lifesaving equipment (provided between Memorial Day and Labor Day). The upper portion of the park is a major picnic attraction. Facilities include: nature trails, accessible dune walks and overlooks, playground, basketball court, restrooms, ample parking and 4 picnic shelters.
