Described as the ‘Jewel in Congleton’s Crown’ Astbury Mere Country Park is a beautiful area for the enjoyment of local residents and visitors to the historic market town of Congleton. The Country Park is open from 9:00 until dusk every day of the year, except Christmas Day. Admission is free of charge but car parking charges do apply. Astbury Water Sports Centre can be found at the park, and offers various water sports from canoeing and kayaking to sailing and raft building. Astbury Mere is approximately 15 minutes in the car from Sandbach.

Astbury Mere is 1 Mile round and nice and flat for running or walking. Dogs must be kept on s lead. ST7 4FP. (10 mins).

'Described as the jewel in Congleton's crown.' Admission is free and the car park is 50p for 4 hours. This is a beautiful and peaceful area to take the dogs or for a family stroll. There is also a coffee hub and a water sports centre offering activities such as kayaking, canoeing and many more. The mere is no more than 10 minutes away in the car.
