Events are often held along here, like markets and local concerts. The esplanade has a great cemented track ideal for skate boards, pushbikes and walking, running it jogging. The cement pathway goes all the way along the beach to Roslyn Bay.

A short walk from Kookaburra Cottage load up the cart and take advantage of 1.3km of swimming beach suitable for all ages and abilities. The beach has excellent ramps, toilets, electric BBQs and picnic facilities. Dogs are not allowed.

Just 22km away from Emu Park you'll find that Yeppoon offers a lovely main beach for long walks next to the ocean. Keppel Kraken water park will keep the children busy for hours. The 2500 square-metre resort-style lagoon pool is located right on the beachfront. This is a lovely beach. It isn’t the nicest on the Capricorn Coast - our favourite is probably Cooee Bay - and it doesn’t have much natural shade, but it’s the one closest to most of the cafes and shops.
