This short hike (about 3 miles if you leave from the trailhead on Norconk Rd.) has a little of everything that makes Sleeping Bear Dunes such a great place to visit. There is a walk through a nice hardwood forest, 2 historic homesteads to explore and a dune to climb with a scenic panorama of Lake Michigan. History buffs love this one!

Amazing and my favorite hiking trail! 10 minute drive

Our family discovered this hike in March of 2020 when we were able to enjoy our cabin more than ever because of the COVID-19 shut down. It became our favorite! You can hike Empire Bluffs and continue on after you get to the benches overlooking Lake Michigan or you can park off of Norconk Rd for the actual trail head.
